WEB 2.0

ive leaned so much about digital citizenship. ive leanred what it is, how it hurts, how it can help, and what do i do with it. it has all helped me so much. For example, ive changed the way i tweets because I dont want someone seeing my tweets and saying, wow hes that type of kid? i want people to know me for who i am behind the screen. also ive moniotored my facebook to make sure nothing bad happens. we leaned about creative commons, but that didnt apply to me as much as digital citizenship. I cant stress how much this class has helped. I loved this class, because its more of a life class then just sitting there and learning about boring stuff that hardly cares about

A Silicon Valley School That Doesn’t Compute

In the article A Silicon Valley School That Doesn’t Compute , it states how this one school can teach in this century by using no technology at all. It goes on to say how this one school in silicon valley, the Waldorf School, is a private school who teaches theres kid everything without technology, with an exception of a couple of movies, and is fine without it. Its not like they cant afford it, because they charge $17,750 from K-8, and 9-12 is $24,000. This is also very ironic, because many of the people that send there children here are workers for Google, Apple, HP, Yahoo, and so many more. They say their kids do not need technology until they are older and they can figure it out themselves. One man says "The idea that an app on an iPad can better teach my kids to read or do arithmetic, that’s ridiculous.” I disagree, and think they can help you.

Using Social Media the Wrong Way

I completely agree with the article i read. I agree with it because it proves many good facts about how people misuse facebook, twitter, flickr, and even email. The number one thing that happens is SPAM. Everyone hates it, and theres no way to get around it, its everywhere. For example on facebook you always get these links to win a free ipad, but obviously its fake. You can get from 0 to 25 spam posts a month, and esp. on facebook, it clogs up your news feed. Many people also get junk/spam emails. You can delete those, they're just annoying. Luckily theres a folder to block them out, but sometimes, something you need goes to that folder and you delete everything. I haven't seen twitter being misused.....yet. Hopefully our social media will clear up and spam will be deleted.

TED video

many people may agree with google and facebook about the filtering of the internet. I don't agree, i hate this. When you search things and it goes to my old search I get frustrated because i didn't search that, I searched this. What if one day you called your friend and said, "hey search Apple on google and click the 3rd link" but when your friend does it, he gets a whole different website. I know some people might say tell him the website, but thats what google is for searching something you want or need, and its growing out of that to things you've searched. Maybe someday ill like this part of google or facebook plus more, but for now its so annoying.

atta girl red sox

Wow, the sox clearly blew it. No question about it. It wasn't Crawford or Papelbon, it was the whole team, and the Superstars of the sox let down Boston. The pats and bruins need to step it up to bring back boston's faith. The bruins can repeat, and The Pats have the team to win, but The sox were favorites, and it wasn't that they didn't make the playoffs, its that they had the chance, and they blew it. Go BRUINS! College "Chatter"

I dont think that what colleges are doing these days are very fair. The reason why I think this is because they're already gonna learn a lot from them at the college, so why know everything about what they do before you have even talked to them and communicated with them. Maybe they can ask if they can, so the future students can watch what they say, but without them knowing, I disagree.
